Youth Ministry at Salem Baptist Church

Thank you for entrusting your youth to us! We believe that God graciously and effectively calls people through the biblical means of grace encountered during the gathered worship service (corporate prayer, singing, Scripture reading, expositional preaching, administration of baptism and the Lord's Supper). Every additional ministry (such as youth ministry) seeks to apply and affirm its commissioning and promotes the health and unity of the weekly worship gathering.
We also desire to come alongside, not replace, the family's role in discipleship. We strive to equip both youth and families with worshipful liturgies/spiritual disciplines, biblical literacy, love for God's people, and compassion for the lost. Here's what’s happening in our youth ministry:
📘 Sunday School (9:15 AM – 10:15 AM)
High School:
Studying the Heidelberg Catechism – Building a theological foundation in Reformed doctrine and practice.

Curriculum includes:
- Heidelberg Catechism: building a theological foundation in Reformed doctrine and practice.
- Wisdom literature: studying how Ecclesiastes applies to Christians living in a fallen world
- Apologetics: defending the faith

Current study: Heidelberg Catechism
Middle School:

Curriculum includes:
- Theological Survey of the Old Testament
- Theological Survey of the New Testament
- The Doctrines of Grace: understanding the biblical teaching on our fallenness and God's gracious rescue plan

Current study: Theological Survey of the Old Testament (Joshua)
**We encourage all youth to attend Worship Services, fellowship gatherings, and House Groups as well!**
📅 Wednesday Nights (7:00 PM – 8:30 PM)
Join us midweek for a time Bible Study and Application with prayer and Christ-centered fellowship.

- 1st/2nd Wednesday: Bible Study
- 3rd Wednesday: Bible Study review and small group application
- 4th Wednesday: Question Box or Slice of Advice from a faithful member/regular attender
